A one-of-a-kind and hand-made by artisans in Tetouan, this Jeblia Tote Bag, in mustard with white and red stripes refer to the famous Jeblia Mendil. This mix creates a bag that is traditional, stylish, practical, and unique. 

Mendil, the Arabic word for a handkerchief, is a striped piece of woven fabric worn by Jeblia women (inhabitants of the valleys and mountains of northern Morocco) around their waist to cover the lower part of their clothes. It dates back to the women who came from Andalusia in the 15th century - Now a cultural and identity statement, the original function of the Mendil was to shield women's clothes from dirt while working in the fields or doing housework.
